Rice bran oil
Rice bran oil (also known as rice bran extract) contains relatively complete fatty acid composition.
It is rich in oryzanol, squalene, γ-tocotrienol, phytosterol and other biologically active substances.
The content of unsaturated fatty acid is more than 80%.
It is acclaimed as “nutritional and healthy cooking oil” by nutritionists.
Rice bran oil is rich in vitamin E and oryzanol which have antioxidation effects,
thus it has good oxidation stability and is easily stored.
There is rich oryzanol in rice bran oil. Oryzanol is a compound consisted of more than ten sterols
ferulic acid ester. It can block cholesterol compound of the body, reduce the concentration of
serum cholesterol, promote blood circulation, regulate endocrine and autonomic nerve, thus
promoting the growth and development of humans and animals. Moreover, oryzanol can promote
skin microvascular circulation,
protect skin and has curative effect on concussions and other diseases.
Rice bran oil also contains squalene. Studies have shown that squalene has good penetration,
diffusion, sterilization and anti-oxidation effects. It can promote bile secretion,
strengthen the liver function and increase appetite.
The total content of vitamin E is not high, but the content of γ-tocotrienol is higher in
general vegetable oils. Modern medicine has proved that γ-tocotrienol can effectively
reduce serum cholesterol.
Rice bran oil contains phytosterol, mainly sitosterol, vegetable sterol and stigmasterol.
They are natural substances, no toxicity and have anti-inflammatory property.
They are helpful to prevent cardiovascular disease, squamous cell carcinoma and
intractable skin ulcers.
